Deborah Brunick, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois with over 30 years of experience in varied social work settings including school social work, medical social work, mental health, crisis intervention, and outpatient counseling. I have a BA in Social Work from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. My MSW is from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
I have had experience working with all ages and stages of life. Beliefs and Areas of Interest: I believe in supporting clients with identifying the stressors and hurts of life so they can begin to have a better understanding of themselves - their needs, their strengths, challenges, goals, areas that need healing, and coping skills. Specific areas include: anxiety, depression, ocd, addiction, grief, loss, family changes, family issues, employment issues, aging, life transitions, parenting adult children, illness, and caregiving.
As clients begin to identify areas of need and healing, they can also identify their strengths and skills to grow towards improved and healthier functioning in their day- to- day life. I believe in establishing a supportive and accepting therapeutic relationship using proven therapeutic techniques that are evidence based and that best meet the needs of each client.
