Theodora Insaidoo,LPC

I am a licensed professional counselor with experience working with children/adolescents and adults alike. I obtained my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lewis university with specialization in child and adolescent and substance abuse. I obtained my bachelors of science in psychology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

My experience focuses on working with children, adolescents and adults  struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, suicidal ideation, self injury, anger management, oppositional defiance,  family dysfunction, parent/child relationship, young adults and failure to launch young adults.  I obtained the majority of my experience working in the inner city by providing both mental health and case management services to at-risk youth and also assisting them and their families to reintegrate themselves into their schools and their communities while working through/gaining skills to manage childhood trauma.

My approach to therapy focuses more on building partnership with clients and empowering them to create plans to succeed while empowering/teaching  them coping skills, grounding techniques and diffusion techniques to help them manage life’s inevitable crisis and achieve treatment goals. .

Allow me to come alongside you as you navigate through the uncertainties and uncharted paths in life while finding/striking the right balance to walk through life. Life is difficult on its own, contact me, and let us make this journey and work through the unexpected/unwelcomed events that sneak up at the unexpected times in your life.
