Tina Villis, LCPC, PMH-C

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with almost twenty years of experience in the mental health field. It is an honor to meet individuals from all walks of life, listen to their stories, and be a source of support for them during their most painful times. I am trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy.  I work with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship and workplace stress, divorce, grief and loss, parenting, infidelity, codependency, life transitions, infertility and adoption concerns. I especially love working with new parents and parents who are coping with perinatal mental health challenges.

My therapeutic style varies according to the unique needs of the person—many people thrive in a gentle, supportive relationship, while others prefer a more directive approach. I tend to utilize components from a variety of treatment modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Even the smallest changes can be immensely motivating. My goal is to help you problem-solve and move toward self-improvement in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Together we will set goals that are reasonable and attainable for you. My intention is to identify and change behaviors that no longer serve you. The most rewarding moments for me occur when people discover new insights about themselves and are empowered to make positive and lasting changes.
